ONE HEAD · ONE BODY · MANY MEMBERS

Christ is not divided.

Jesus Christ is the Head of his church. Christians are called to be one body in him—not a uniform institution, and not a human-led merger, but a people whose truthful love makes him more visible to the world.

Christ alone is the Head

Ephesians describes the church as Christ’s body, while Colossians names him its Head. This page is not asking anyone to follow a new religious authority.

Believers are members of one body

Paul calls Christians the body of Christ and asks a divided congregation, “Is Christ divided?” The image is a call to repentance and care, not a claim that Jesus himself has been broken.

Unity is meant to be seen

Jesus prayed that his followers would be one so that the world might believe. Unity can be truthful, voluntary, and rooted in love without becoming forced sameness.

A COMPLEX FAMILY STORY

One shared confession. Many wounded branches.

Click a moment to follow the broad story. This is a starting map, not a verdict on any church or a complete history.

THE FIRST CENTURIES

One gospel, many local churches

The first Christians lived in many cities, spoke different languages, and developed local practices. Their shared center was Jesus Christ, the Scriptures received by the church, prayer, baptism, and the Lord’s table.

A VISUAL PRAYER

Different histories can still turn toward one Lord.

These traditions are not pieces of a new denomination. They are distinct Christian families invited to seek greater faithfulness, understanding, and cooperation under Christ.

WHAT REPAIR CAN LOOK LIKE

Not forced sameness.
Faithful fellowship.

  1. 01
    Keep Christ at the center.

No founder, council, or platform replaces Jesus as the church’s Head.

  2. 02
    Test every claim.

Read Scripture in context, reject a different gospel, and do not treat spiritual language as beyond discernment.

  3. 03
    Tell the truth with humility.

Real reconciliation does not hide doctrinal differences or demand that conscience be erased.

  4. 04
    Make love visible.

Pray, listen, serve, and cooperate where Christians can do good together as a witness to the world.

A NECESSARY GUARDRAIL

Unity does not need a new messiah.

Scripture warns Christians to watch for false christs, distorted gospels, and spiritual claims that should be tested. It does not teach that sincere Christian reconciliation is evil. Stay at the Table is not asking churches to surrender their convictions or follow a human unifier; it is inviting Christians to seek truth, peace, and shared service under Jesus Christ.
