COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Speak truthfully. Listen carefully. Protect one another.

The Table welcomes real Christian disagreement. It does not require sameness, but it does require each person to treat others as human beings made in God’s image.

Bring convictions without contempt

Explain what you believe and why. Do not use personal attacks, threats, harassment, slurs, impersonation, deliberate misquotation, spam, or the exposure of another person’s private information.

Do not claim more agreement than exists

Speak for yourself and identify sources accurately. Do not present one congregation, denomination, political party, or personal interpretation as the voice of every Christian.

Protect privacy and immediate safety

Do not post private addresses, phone numbers, medical information, confidential correspondence, or identifying details about a vulnerable person. If someone appears to face immediate danger, the service may create a limited private safety alert for review. The site is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services when immediate help is required.

How moderation works

Messages are screened before publication. A message may be returned for revision or paused when a reliable safety decision cannot be completed. Members may privately report visible messages. Reports alone do not decide that a person is wrong; repeated reports trigger stricter review. Technical and automated decisions can be mistaken and should remain open to human correction.

Participation and enforcement

Joining a Table, receiving optional email updates, and joining an adopted action are voluntary. Table movement is a disclosed condition of joining: after seven active days, a move may be scheduled; each table offers one seven-day extension, after which the next suitable move is required. Old messages remain with the table where they were posted.

Serious or repeated misuse may lead to returned messages, restricted participation, or loss of access.
